A Historic Walking Tour of Tewksbury Hospital Campus

Tewksbury Hospital opened its doors on May 1, 1854 as the State Almshouse, Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Led by a knowledgeable volunteer guide, the Public Health Museum invites you on this 90-minute walking tour to explore life in days past, the history of a vibrant community, its architecture, the lives of its patients and staff, and its connection to public health.


Walking Tour Dates for the 2017 Season

Tours Start at 10:00 AM

Saturdays: May 6th, June 3rd, July 1st, August 5th, September 2nd, October 7th

Thursdays: June 15th, July 20th, August 17th, September 21st

Tickets are $10 (cash or check). Reservations are required.
Special tours for large groups (8+) can be arranged.
